CCF Evidence Checklist: Documents to Prepare

A well-organised submission is easier to understand when its facts, decisions and legal arguments are supported by legible, traceable documents. Yet the right evidence for an access request is not identical to the evidence needed to argue for deletion, correction or revision of a CCF decision. Use this interactive checklist to prepare a working document inventory.

This is not an official CCF form or a complete statement of admissibility requirements. INTERPOL's official secure portal contains the current submission workflow. The checklist does not transfer documents to INTERPOL or CIL and does not determine whether a request will succeed.

Educational guidance only. This tool does not search INTERPOL records, assess legal eligibility, send data to CCF, or replace qualified legal advice.

Your answers stay in this browser page and are cleared when you reset or refresh. They are not sent to analytics or stored on a server.

Official submission instructions are published by the Commission itself: Official INTERPOL CCF Portal Instructions. This page does not submit anything on your behalf.

Tailored issue checklists

The tool adds different lines depending on the user's selected circumstances. These examples are not universal requirements.

Political motivation and neutrality

Collect specific evidence relating to the individuals, alleged acts and country context: dated public statements, contemporaneous threats, procedural irregularities, official findings, and records that clarify the connection between the alleged offence and the political situation. Generic news about a country may provide context but does not automatically establish misuse in an individual case. See Political Red Notices.

Commercial or family disputes

The chronology should distinguish contractual relationships or family proceedings from any evidence of deliberate criminal conduct. Potential documents include company agreements, court filings, payment records, civil judgments and papers showing who personally acted. A commercial element does not make criminal fraud impossible. See Commercial Disputes.

Refugee status and human rights

The exact form of a protection decision matters. Consider the asylum/refugee decision, issuing authority, source country, relevant dates and risk analysis. A pending application cannot be treated as confirmed refugee status. For other human-rights allegations, provide individualised evidence instead of generic assertions. See Refugee Status and Human Rights Grounds.

Acquittal, extradition refusal or changed criminal status

Collect complete, authenticated court dispositions; identify what charges the ruling covered; distinguish an acquittal from a refusal on procedural grounds; and note any appeal or newly issued warrant. These decisions do not automatically expunge national or INTERPOL records. See After an Extradition Refusal and After Acquittal.

Revision after a CCF decision

Article 42 revision is a special procedure requiring a newly discovered relevant fact that could have affected the original decision, with the six-month discovery condition. Record when the fact was learned, why it was not available earlier and how it could have changed the CCF's conclusion. See CCF Revision Application.

How to use your downloaded checklist

  1. Select the kind of CCF request you are considering.
  2. Select the factual issues supported by available records; Not sure is acceptable.
  3. Review the merged list, marking what you actually hold versus what must still be requested or translated.
  4. Print or download the list locally. The export must contain only generic document names and user-created checkmarks, never names, case details or hidden identifiers.
  5. Discuss the resulting gaps with qualified counsel before disclosing sensitive materials, seeking urgent national remedies or filing a CCF request.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official CCF evidence list?

No. The source of formal requirements is the CCF's current published submission instructions, Operating Rules and portal guidance. This tool is an organisational aid only.

Can I send my passport through this checklist?

No. There is no file-upload or applicant-identity field. Sensitive papers should be shared only through a verified channel after clear instructions and an appropriate privacy/confidentiality arrangement.

Can I submit access and deletion in one portal request?

The CCF Portal User Guide describes selecting a single request type per request; linked requests may require separate submissions. Check the official current guidance for the particular case.

Do I need to translate every document?

Requirements vary by document and the accepted working language. Check the CCF's current instructions and ask your legal representative which documents are material and whether a translation is needed.
